My name is Kevin and I have been collecting Cal Ripken, Jr. cards since 1990. The first card I had in the collection was a 1990 Donruss #96 which I kept it in a screw down with a printed label on it. I was very proud of it for some reason. I'm not sure why that one was my favorite at the time, or the first, but that is how it started. I collected cards for years from shows and eBay and always tried to get the best copies. I bought a large collection from someone in Baltimore and that made up the bulk of the collection. It contained a bunch of the harder to get cards. It wasn't until around 2004 that I started my PSA Ripken collection. I sent in most of the raw collection and got it graded. The majority of my collection is from that initial submission. The collection is sitting at around 3,000 cards at this point, all PSA graded.
Since I decided to limit my collection to Cal Ripken, Jr.'s playing years (1980-2002), I have created a store where you can buy my post-2002 cards as well as any cards I have upgraded.
As PSA graded Cal Ripken, Jr. cards I didn't have became more difficult to find (or submit), I started collecting Hall of Fame Rookie cards. You can view my current collection of PSA Hall of Fame Rookie cards on the site as well.
